The focus was on international educational work, membership development and preparation for the Kneippiade.
The Presidential Council of Kneipp Worldwide convened for its annual meeting in Bad Nauheim, the designated venue for next year's International Kneipp Action Days (IKAT). The focus was on the further development of the international Kneipp movement, strengthening educational initiatives, and preparations for the Kneippiade 2027, which will take place in Bad Nauheim from June 10th to 13th, 2027.
Bad Nauheim presented itself as a strong partner and ideal venue for the international Kneipp movement. The Presidential Council used the meeting to discuss local conditions, potential program elements, and further cooperation with those responsible on site.
„With its expertise in health, its spa tradition, and its unique atmosphere, Bad Nauheim offers outstanding conditions for a Kneippiade with international appeal,“ emphasizes Erich Senn, President of Kneipp Worldwide. „We are very much looking forward to further cooperation and to visibly bringing the international Kneipp movement together here in 2027.“
Health education in focus
A central theme of the meeting was international educational work. Kneipp Worldwide is currently working to better structure the international dissemination of Kneipp health principles while preserving their authentic core. The newly established Education Council will provide expert guidance on quality standards, training issues, and international collaborations.
It became clear that there is great interest in Kneipp knowledge, practical educational programs, and quality-assured materials in many countries. Kneipp Worldwide aims to act as an international platform in this area and further promote exchange between member organizations, educational institutions, and experts.
The discussion also touched on international membership development. Reports and inquiries from various countries, including Lithuania, Slovenia, Romania/Transylvania, South Korea, Switzerland, and the USA, demonstrate that the Kneipp philosophy is attracting increasing interest worldwide. At the same time, it was emphasized that international cooperation, clear structures, transparent responsibilities, and reliable quality standards are needed.
Another key focus was the future direction of the International Kneipp Action Days, also known as the Kneippiade. An official call for proposals is planned for 2029. Applications from interested member organizations and host cities will be evaluated based on transparent criteria. Particular attention will be paid to how the Kneipp philosophy can be promoted locally, how the population can be involved, and how the international focus of the event can be strengthened.
International Kneipp Action Days 2027 and General Meeting
The Kneippiade 2027 in the certified Kneipp spa town of Bad Nauheim is intended to provide space for encounters, professional exchange and the participation of international member organizations.
In addition to the formal general meeting, the plan is to facilitate a structured exchange where member countries can present their work, their challenges, and their implementation of the five Kneipp elements. "Kneipp Worldwide is in an important phase of development," explained Caroline Geiser, Secretary General of Kneipp Worldwide. "Our goal is to further strengthen international networking, make authentic Kneipp content accessible with guaranteed quality, and at the same time incorporate the experiences and specific characteristics of the member countries."„
